Jamie Harris is a Photographer with a considerable experience in the fields of image-making, art direction, picture editing and design.
Having gained his BA Hons in Photography at Blackpool & the Fylde College of Art & Design, he went on to London to assist at publications including Elle, GQ, Time Out and Dazed & Confused.
It was during these early days that he assisted amongst others, the photographers Tim Walker and Corinne Day, and had his work published in 'Dazed and Confused' and 'Tank' magazine.
Jamie broadened his skills further at Nick Knight's fashion multimedia workshop, SHOWstudio, where as Editorial Assistant, he supported the Creative Director and design team with various print and web-based projects and acted as researcher for the Editor.
He has exhibited at the 'Cornerhouse Gallery' in Manchester, and the 'Curwen Gallery' in London.
More recently, Jamie was invited to represent England as part of the 'Fashination - between Art and Fashion' exhibition at the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television. He was also the subject of a feature in the long running Fashion Television series hosted by Jeannie Becker.
He was London's very own 'Sartorialist' for the Independent on Sunday magazine long before so many others started doing similar.
He describes himself as a social wallflower with a passion and an undeniable knack for discovering the new; whichever this form might take. His style can be described as that of a very English Chameleon. And when not crashing some of London's most considerable parties he simply stays in and cooks. Or better still, boards a car and turns left repairing to his family's home in Gloucestershire for 'good air' and 'an abundance of Green'.
He has a collection of inspirational scrapbooks, which have been described as 'sublime' by those who ought to know. He is currently amidst ideas for some rather fun childrens books. Luckily he's never without an idea. He's made Stephen Fry laugh on more than one occasion, several of his evening guests have caught on fire, he collects peculiar jams and he longs to board again one day.
Jamie Harris divides his time between London and the Cotswolds.
